Port-Hol Spółka Akcyjna was formed in February 2001 through the reorganisation of
the Shipping Services Division of the Commercial Port Świnoujście Co. Ltd. Since July 2008 the company is a part of Fairplay Towage group.
The primary objects of the Company's business are towing services and transhipments of general and bulk cargoes by means of floating cranes.
We operate four sea-going tugs, one floating crane with own propulsion, one service motorboat and one fire fighting ship. The experience gained over years of the operations permits us to perform any service related to high sea towage, salvage, carriage of provisions to ships, ice-breaking, and other services as connected with the business.
We collaborate with many domestic and foreign companies and upon their requests, we carry out shipments of ship modules, ship hulls and other out-of-standard loads e.g. large size container overhead cranes. We do towing to numerous ports in Spain , U.K. , France , Belgium , Germany , Norway , Russia , Finland and other.
Our watercrafts, by being different in terms of overall dimensions, rated powers, pulls and propulsion types permit us to carry out services in a reasonable and effective manner irrespective of the tow to be dealt with, working environments and locations.
To meet market demand and to assure constant high levels of quality and safety of the service we render, our tugs are continually modernised and additionally fitted with modern towing, navigational, communication and engine room gear and equipment which results in our tugs being recognised as those amidst the best equipped ones in the trade.
The floating cranes are designed to handling of bulk and general cargoes. Own propulsions permit them free mobility where a service is to be performed. They are provided with buckets for ore, grain, phosphate rock, bauxite and other bulk materials, as well as with hooks.
They are employed to cargo handling at port, sea and to specific work such as dredging in port basins, in hydro-engineering projects as e.g. the constructions of the piers at Międzyzdroje, Heringsdorf; breakwaters in the Szczecin Lagoon; work in repairs of ships at shipyards.
The fire fighting ship is a rescue - fire extinguishing watercraft manned by a rescue team on stand-by ready to set out to the sea and to carry out rescue and fire fighting tasks. On a daily basis she is employed to provide a fire watch service to ships carrying dangerous cargoes across the Port of Świnoujście.
The service motorboat is adapted to carry mooring cables for ships that are going to berth; carry people; deploy oil barriers and ship minor cargoes within port.
